2 Quick Things

Hello to the River Hill Band Family!

I hope you are all having a great Winter Break. I have just a couple of items for you:

1. All wind instrument players were given a "Placement Etude" to begin practicing. This piece will be performed individually by each student, and will serve multiple purposes, including spring seating and class placement for next year. I encourage you to begin working on it as soon as possible. If you need another copy, please write to me and I will send it to you as a .pdf (the file is too large to attach to an email sent through Charms). Percussionists have their own packet of music to prepare and that was sent in a separate email a few days ago.

2. Thank you to those who caught the mistake on the last page of the winter concert program! The date for County Band Assessment was indeed incorrect. The correct dates are Friday and Saturday, March 17th and 18th. At this point I am 95% sure that BOTH bands will be performing on Friday, and I promise to get you a final schedule as soon as know the exact performance times. Parents - PLEASE plan on being there to support the kids at this important performance. Thank you!!!!

Finally, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!! I know that 2017 is going to be a great year for us!
